This position will offer a remote working pattern with some office presence at the London office (Once a month) and is open to both permanent and contract candidates.
Waracle are looking for a Lead Android Developer to join our ambitious team. You must have extensive knowledge of mobile platforms, preferably Android, Kotlin, Java.
As an experienced Lead Android Developer you should have technical / team leadership experience.
You’ll relish the challenge of having to solve complex problems and come up with brilliant solutions and products. You’ll be a strong communicator and able to get ideas across to the team and also be able to build strong relationships with the business and corporate stakeholders.
Experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and Java using different Android API versions
Experience with third-party libraries, API and open-source Android ecosystem
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Experience in leading software development within teams of mixed experience
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Extensive experience with practice libraries – Hilt, Dagger2, RxJava, Coroutines, Retrofit
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Experience working within financial services or other regulated environments is preferred
